A short article but it an entertaining one............
Whatever happened to Margaret?
Eileen Harrop in Glasgow has a query about oneof her ancestors.
She writes My great-great-grandfather, Alexander Kinghorn, was born in Old Deer in 1812 to Margaret Stephen. I know nothing about his life until he appears, married to a Christian Middleton in Peterhead, in the 1841 census. Does anyone have any idea what became of Margaret? She did not marry Adam Kinghorn. He married a Jane Cocker.
Below are the details from the Kirk Session Records. Middle names from his children are Sim and Johnstone.
