Members of the Family History Society of Buchan are invited to submit longer articles or essays relating to the activities of the Society. The FHSB retain the right to edit, refuse or remove these articles as it sees fit. All authors are reminded to obtain all the necessary legal and statutory permissions before submission.

Open Meeting - 9 Oct 2008 The Family History Society of Buchan will be holding its next open meeting on Thursday 9th October at Arbuthnot House in Peterhead at 7pm. This time we will have two speakers; Shirley Dickie, our local Registrar, will be giving us an insight into the records she has available for the family researcher in the registrars office in Peterhead, and Rita Gordon will be talking about other records available for the local area, such as the Poor Law registers
